What types of transmission fluid are there?
There are different types – e.g. manual transmission oil, automatic transmission oil (ATF), CVT oil and dual clutch transmission oil (DCT). When should transmission oil be changed?
This depends on the vehicle type, usage and the manufacturer’s recommendation. In many modern passenger cars, the change interval is 60,000-120,000 km, in commercial vehicles or industrial plants it can be significantly shorter or longer cycles. What happens if the wrong transmission oil is used?
